The history of Livesey Old Hall

  • 29 April 2014 2-3pm

Livesey Old Hall was a Jacobean manor house on the outskirts of Blackburn, built in the 17th Century. Originally the home of the Livesey family, it eventually ended up in the hands of the Feildens, before falling into disrepair. It was demolished in the late 1960s when the nearby housing estate was built

Into the Trees

Robert Williams, who grew up in Clitheroe, talks about his 3rd novel ‘Into the Trees’. It is a dark tale, set in the Bleasdale forest, covering themes of love and fear, family and security and the search for sanctuary in the middle of chaos.
