Museums at Night: The Raven and Other Stories
A rare opportunity to view pieces from a private loan collection in a dramatic setting, The Munro Portfolio, is a collection of early discarded drawings by Dante Gabriel Rossetti rescued by his studio campanion, sculptor Alexander Munro. The sketches illuminate Rossetti's passion for literature and poetry and illustrate plays, stories and poems by Dante, Faust and Shakespeare, amongst many others. A highlight is Angel Footfalls, from Edgar Allan Poe's Gothic thriller, The Raven. Experience these stunning visions come alive with readings and recitations and explore the tales behind the image: a truly unique way to connect with art.
