Author Talk - Leanda de Lisle
- 1 July 2018 2-3:30pm
To some, Charles I was a martyr crowned in white, the symbol of innocence: to others he was the hated White King of ancient myths. Previously unseen royal correspondence informs a fresh portrait of a king who was principled, radical and brave, but also fatally blinkered, and a maligned queen who was a warrior and political player as impressive as any Tudor consort. Join Leanda De Lisle for a discussion on her new book in the Heritage Room.
