The house gallery is a non-profit making, grass roots initiative. It is artist-run and open to work that explores contemporary culture. Exhibitions vary in length, usaully 1-4 weeks, and are seen as collaborations with the artist(s). Costs are kept to a minimum, while maintaining a high quality, professional service. The house gallery's high street location and its large front window mean that each show is seen by large numbers of people. With a view to exploring expressions of community, the house gallery organises other arts events in addition to the exhibitions. These include talks, social events and discussion forums.
