Scottish Archaeology Month, or SAM, is a month long festival celebrating Scotland's unique archaeological heritage. Under the co-ordination of the Council for Scottish Archaeology (CSA) over 100 events will be on offer during September. There are all kinds to suit all interests: from guided tours to hands-on activities; the events take place all over the country and are all free of charge! Individual events are organised by a variety of organisations and societies and are suitable for people with all degrees of archaeological knowledge - from the expert to the curious! Go to www.scottisharchaeology.org.uk for full programme details or get in touch with the CSA and a paper copy of the guide will be sent to you.
