A historic house and medieval garden all set within an ancient and atmospheric estate

Discover Godolphin, one of the most fashionable houses in Cornwall in the 17th century. Long since abandoned, you can soak up the atmosphere of peace and antiquity as you explore this romantic home.

Wander around the 16th century garden, one of the most important historic gardens in Europe. It has barely changed over the years.

Summer bloom

June Jaunt

There's nothing quite like a countryside jaunt on a warm day in June. Join Godolphin's Ranger on a guided walk around the estate, learn about the flora and fauna, as well as the rich local mining history. We invite you to bring a picnic, as you'll find a great spot to stop and take in the scenery. If you'd like, why not buy a sandwich or some homemade cake from our tea-room, to take with you.

Barefoot Hike at Godolphin

An easy stroll up Godolphin Hill for beginners and children. Enjoy the barefoot-friendly textures as we very gently climb to one of the most spectacular views in West Cornwall. Free but donations welcome.

Eagle Owl

Nature Night Walk

As the light begins to fade, meet us at the Piggery where we'll begin our guided Nature Night Walk. Through exploring the garden and estate you'll discover Godolphin's nocturnal residents including rare breeds of bats and owls, and experience the atmosphere of this historic place. Remember to pack your torch!
