Liverpool's centre for contemporary arts. Located in a Grade 1 Listed Building in the centre of Liverpool City Centre, the gallery re-opened in March 2008 after a multi million development.

The Bluecoat will engage, inspire and stimulate visitors, whether they come to create, view, listen, eat, shop, talk - or simply be, and will house a vibrant community of creative people - artists, performers, writers, crafts people, creative businesses and retailers - all committed to using their emerging talent to innovate and excel.

Deep Hedonia invite you to disSociation, a space to absorb and reflect on your LightNight experience. A responsive video installation and discussion lab inviting participants of the evening to look at the nature of accelerated communication during a large art event that aims to explore the relationship between artist and audience.

LightNight Liverpool at Bluecoat

Bluecoat, its artistic community and invited guests, explore the theme of Experiment. With behind the scenes studio tours and free workshops for children, with music and drinks in the garden. Entertainment will come from Halcyon Syncopators and Choir with No Name with interventions and installations by Deep Hedonia and ReDock.

The Cage of Experiments

The Cage of Experiments is an eclectic mix of music, theatre and performance from Liverpool's alternative creative community. Curated by Katy-Anne Bellis of Caustic Widows, a giant birdcage will be filled with a feast of visual and musical experiments. Take part in a mass group waltz, discover acrobatic parrots and enjoy ambient sounds throughout the night.
