Heritage Open Days 2014: Wordsworth House and Garden

  • 13 September 2014

You are guaranteed a warm welcome, whether you meet the maid, manservant or one of our knowledgable 21st-century guides. They will give you a taste of history in the Georgian kitchen and you can marvel at stories brought to you by a ghostly hologram figure from the past. Outside, explore William's beloved garden. This inspired many of his poems and is full of 18th-century flowers, fruit and vegetables - all used in the house. Relax in the summerhouse and try the homemade cakes and scones in our cafe. Take in a talk, tasting or children's holiday activity. As featured on ITV.
