Managed and staffed entirely by volunteers, Glossop Heritage Centre is situated at the top of Norfolk Square, Glossop facing the Town Hall and Market Arcade. It has been created by local enthuiasts who wish to share the pleasures and interests of the town and surrounding countryside with a wider public.

The Centre shows the way in which the town, its setting and its people have developed in the known ten thousand years of history so that both residents and visitors are encouraged to gain a better understanding of its unique character and tradition, which should in turn lead to a greater concern for its future.

It has now let out part of the ground floor to the Glossop Tourist Information Center which is also run by volunteers
