Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour has campsites and a cottage which are used by members of the Scout and Guide movements. These are all in the vicinity of the original campsite on the south shore used by Lord Baden-Powell for his experimental camp which led to the start of Scouting. This area is on lease to the Scout & Guide Association from the National Trust who own the Island

Early morning birdsong walk
An early morning wildlife experience. Come and experience the island at its most peaceful. This is your opportunity to take a boat over to the island long before the public arrive. A member of the ranger team will talk you through the sights and sounds of wildlife in this natural habitat. Enjoy a spring morning at Brownsea Island and a breakfast bap in the Villano Café. Booking is essential. All ticket holders must catch the 7.30am boat from Sandbanks and the 10am boat from Brownsea Island

Somgs for the coast
Celebrate 50 years of the National Trust on Brownsea Island with our outdoor festival season. Join Sammy Hurden, our choir leader who will lead an uplifting singing workshop with songs inspired by her journey along the Jurassic Coast. Come along and join in with Sammy Hurden, taking inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of Brownsea Island. Learn new songs and then take off around the island and sing them in some very unusual and breath taking places. Booking is essential and you will need to catch the 10am boat from Poole or Sandbanks. Light refreshments will be included and boat fares apply.
