Additional info
Hampton Court Palace is an historic building and, therefore, has uneven surfaces. However, all areas are accessible and there are less bumpy routes through most of the courtyards. Our comprehensive Access Guide is available by post or from our website: www.hrp.org.uk
With 500 years worth of history to explore, Hampton Court Palace has been divided into a series of historical routes which help to explain how the palace was used when it was occupied by the monarch:
Henry VIII's State Apartments
The Tudor Kitchens
The Wolsey Rooms
The King's Apartments of William III
The Queen's State Apartments
The Georgian Rooms
There are also two exhibitions: the 'Introductory Exhibition' about the history of the building, and the 'Gardens Exhibition' about the development of the gardens.

Secrets of the Royal Bedchamber
This spring independent charity, Historic Royal Palaces, will transform Hampton Court’s Baroque Palace with a special exhibition full of intrigue, drama and surprise – at its heart will be six magnificent, royal Beds.
For the first time ever the world’s largest and rarest collection of early State Beds will be presented in one dramatic display which tells the story of how and why the bedchamber became the most public and important destination in the Palace. The exhibition will also offer a rare glimpse into architect John Vanbrugh’s Prince of Wales’s Apartments – opened for the first time in 20 years.
