'LIGHT YEARS'

8 — 28 September 2013

Presenting a large selection of oils, watercolours and pastels from the last twelve years, this exhibition celebrates the artist's enduring engagement with the transforming power of light on form and colour in the landscape. Working directly outside, Carolyn White returns over the years to the places that have been her source material for decades: the Stroud Valleys (in particular the Slad Valley), the Penwith Peninsular in Cornwall, and different countries of the Mediterranean. She has made her emotional response to these particular pieces the central theme to her career spanning fifty years.
