whowhatwherewhenwhy - W5 - is Ireland’s award-winning science and discovery centre at Odyssey in Belfast.

With 160 amazing interactive exhibits in four dynamic exhibition areas - START, GO, SEE and DO, W5 provides a unique experience as well as fantastic fun for visitors of all ages. In addition to permanent exhibits, W5 also presents a changing programme of large and small scale temporary exhibitions and events. We also have a daily programme of live science demonstrations and shows throughout the day.

W5’s location, on the bank of the River Lagan, at Odyssey, the Northern Ireland Millennium Landmark Project, provides spectacular views of Belfast and the River and is only a short walk from Belfast City Centre.

Join us in the lead up to Halloween for a spoof lecture on the real science behind the undead. Featuring a multi-media presentation, live demonstrations and an online exam certified by the Zombie Institute for Theoretical Studies (ZITS) Theoretical Zombiologist, Doctor Austin teaches how a zombie outbreak might occur, its effect on humans and more importantly how to stop it.

This spoof lecture for is for teenage and adult audiences and is intended to entertain as well as educate about biological sciences.

Zombie Dodgeball

For zombie hunters of all ages, fight back an invasion armed only with a dodgeball and your own arm. Take them on in a variety of creepy worlds, like The Graveyard or The King's Lair, then knock down the undead hordes before they can escape, or else.

This Halloween, test your throwing skills with our new virtual sports simulators and see if you can knock down oncoming zombies before they reach the fence. It's sport, but not as you know it!

Spooky Dip

Electricity crackles, something scuttles and a wild beast howls! Are you brave enough to reach into the dark holes in the castle wall to discover what lurks within. Spooky Dip always brings howls of laughter and screams of fun from children and adults alike! A great family activity!

Halloween Snappers

Join us for a great Halloween papercraft workshop. Take a simple sheet of paper and make it into a horrifying snapping monster to frighten your friends and family.
