Avenue Gallery offers a diverse and contemporary programme of temporary exhibitions which reflects the range of activities and academic ambitions within the School of the Arts. As well as showcasing student work and staff research, Avenue Gallery hosts regular exhibitions by established artists which demonstrate the University's engagement with the wider cultural and academic community. The University also houses the Osborne Robinson Collection of historic posters.
Closed: Weekends, Bank Holidays and University vacations.
Exhibitions at Avenue Gallery are open to the public during the specified hours, but access to the Osborne Robinson Poster Collection archive is by appointment only.
Tune In, Look At, Rock Out! A Photographic Exhibition by Steve Godfrey

Steve Godfrey’s photographic work covers a diverse range of musical genres, but the main focus of this exhibition will be his documentation of the Gothic subculture through a series of images produced during his role as official photographer to the Whitby Goth Weekend music festival. The festival celebrates its twentieth anniversary this year, and Steve is commemorating the event with a touring exhibition and a publication which will feature many of the images on display in the exhibition at Avenue Gallery.
The SD&PT Work in Progress Show 2014

The ‘SD&PT Work in Progress Show 2014’ showcases some of the latest creativity and ideas on projects from students across all 3 years on the BA (Hons) Surface Design and Printed Textiles Course at Northampton. It demonstrates surface pattern and print design using both hard and soft materials towards a variety of contexts and applications including fashion, interiors, gallery space, commercial surfaces, transport interiors, and architecture.
The exhibition will open with a preview evening on Wednesday 12 November from 5-7pm, after which it will run from 13-27 November, Monday-Friday 10am-4pm.
