Avenue Gallery offers a diverse and contemporary programme of temporary exhibitions which reflects the range of activities and academic ambitions within the School of the Arts. As well as showcasing student work and staff research, Avenue Gallery hosts regular exhibitions by established artists which demonstrate the University's engagement with the wider cultural and academic community. The University also houses the Osborne Robinson Collection of historic posters.

The Sketchbook Today Exhibition

The Sketchbook Today will explore the use, role and purpose of the sketchbook, and how this has shifted and expanded historically. It has been mounted in support of the one-day International Symposium of the same name which is taking place at The University of Northampton on 16th June.

The exhibition will feature a range of sketchbooks from artists including Simon Callery, Rod Bugg, Iwan Gwyn Parry, Richard Gant, Sally Taylor, Sandy Sykes, Meryl Ainslie and Sara Lee, alongside work by staff and students from the University’s School of The Arts.
