Excavation of barrow burial

Wiltshire Archaeology and Conservation Fair

14 July 2013

30 local archaeological organisations will be joining the county's archaeology and conservation teams to provide visitors with a unique opportunity to find out all about archaeology in Wiltshire. Programme of short talks including recent excavations, how to date your house and First World War project. Children can build stonehenge, do a sand pit dig and find out about the Young Archaeologist Club. Tours of the state-of-the-art conservation labs to see recently excavated material. Find out about the work of the county archaeology team. Plenty of objects to handle and chances to find out about work experience, volunteering opportunities, courses and careers in archaeology.
